Navigon MobileNavigator 1.4.0 dumped in the App Store approval pipeline

I just found out that Navigon Mobile Navigator will be updated very soon again, after just being upgraded twice, Sept 10 version 1.2.0 and Nov 3 version 1.3.0.

These guys do not take coffee breaks like TomTom. Here is what they announced today;

Soon you can enjoy 13 brand new features like navigation for pedestrians, a simple search via Google Local Search and the possibility to enter geographical coordinates.

iPhone car integration

Looking for a restaurant in a foreign city? No problem! Just enter “steak Munich” for example and get a comprehensive list of steak restaurants in the Bavarian capital as well as a detailed description of how to get there. With the new navigation for pedestrians it doesn’t even matter anymore, whether you are moving around on foot or by car. Your iPhone will show you the best way. And if you want to tell your friends your own position, just enter the geographical coordinates and send it out via email.

Regarding the pedestrian navigation: there are additional functions like aerial direction and rerouting on demand. Also the compass (3GS) can be used.

The Update will be available free of charge as soon as Apple clears the software for the App Store.
