Qualcomm announced two new System-on-chips (SoCs) for HomeKit

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., a subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated (NASDAQ: QCOM), today announced two new System-on-chips (SoCs), the QCA4020 and QCA4024. Qualcomm Technologies is the first to announce a tri-mode SoC QCA4020, integrating Bluetooth® Low Energy 5, Dual-band Wi-Fi®, and 802.15.4-based technologies, including ZigBee® and Thread, while QCA4024 integrates Bluetooth Low Energy 5 and 802.15.4.

Both QCA4020 and QCA4024 deliver advanced features from the Qualcomm® Network IoT Connectivity Platform, including seamless coexistence across technologies with pre-integrated support for HomeKit™ and the Open Connectivity Foundation (OCF™) specifications, as well as support for AWS IoT software development kit (SDK) and Microsoft Azure Internet-of-Things (IoT) Devices SDK to connect with Azure IoT Hub.

D-Link Begins Selling Omna 180 HomeKit Camera

D-Link Corporation today announced that the new Omna™ 180 Cam HD (DSH-C310) is available for purchase online today at and in Apple stores around the world later this month. The first in D-Link’s Omna family of HomeKit enabled devices, the Omna 180 Cam HD provides an easy way for users to monitor their homes for extra peace of mind.

Omna’s HomeKit integration allows users to be “always home” and includes advanced security features with end-to-end encryption and authentication between the camera and an iPhone or iPad. When activity is detected, users will receive a rich notification on their lock screen, delivered via the Apple Home app, showing a live feed from the camera. ING Australia first ING country to introduce Apple Pay

ING customers in Australia wanted it, ING in Australia has provided it. It’s Apple Pay, their NFC payment solution that lets users make their purchases via their iPhones. ING Australia is saying today that there had been high demand for customers for Apple Pay.

“Approximately 70 percent of our Orange Everyday customers who use our app connect with us through Apple devices and they’ve been asking us for Apple Pay. We’re delighted to be able to deliver,” said John Arnott—Executive Director—Customers.

Apple HomeKit comes to open your LiftMaster garage door
