For a long time developers monetized on their products by simply charging people for using them, however, with the popularity of mobile internet products also comes a lot of different ways to make money with your apps.
While the following list of suggestions to monetise from iPhone apps is no guide to mobile internet for developers, it will certainly showcase some of the most important ways to produce money from apps.
App distribution platforms offer a cost effective and highly efficient way for developers to increase sales and monetisation through worldwide distribution and a state of the art DSP that offers an excellent diversity when it comes to advertisers.
Except from iPhone 6 Plus owners, I don’t think that anyone in the world is really happy with the battery capacity of their iPhone. Apple is always making their devices thinner and leaner with the implication that they have to come up with compensating measures to give you at least the same battery life in each new model.
As we know by now after 9 iterations, every new iOS version comes with a new iPhone model. The iPhone 6S is not smaller than the iPhone 6, however they have put in a smaller battery to compensate for the space of the 3D-Touch’s taptic engine(s). This time around Apple pulled the trick to do this via software, via their new Low Power Mode feature.
Finally we have an official Apple Store in the capital of Europe. Why it took so long for Apple to build one is still a big question for me. Yesterday on September 19 the store was officially open for the public. Photos have appeared already in the press, they could visit already a few days earlier. Anyway the best experience is to go when the public is there and when the store employees make the wave for you when you enter.
The iPhone 6S received a nice overhaul, and like I’ve blogged about before, this model is bringing a lot of new features to the table which were long overdue. Pre-iPhone 6 users, will get a really nice upgrade value bang for the buck with the new camera system and 3D Touch.
That being said the new iPhone flagships also take again a bigger bite out of the (family) budget. We have compared the prices of 4 European countries where it’s available for preorder the 12th of September, and we also compared the US prices.
